Which is pretty lame.....

Golgatha, 10,500 seems low for X1800XT crossfire, i was able to hit that with a single 7900GT unmodded. And ATi seems to do better in 3dmark05. What drivers are you using? I think it ran below your potential for some reason.

Well we'll see how the X1900 does, single one should hit around 11k.

There was some occasional screen flickering, so I'm not too confident with that score. The single X1800XT score does bother me a bit. Games seem to play just fine and thankfully 3DMark isn't a game . What do you get on HL Lost benchmark with 4xAA 8xAF and HDR enabled? My rig gets about 112FPS give or take a couple of FPS.

So a person coming in reading this thread without all the facts might go out, but the retail 920, a $60 motherboard, and get pissed when they don't get the same results.

But I don't think the OP claimed any particular performance advantage. He simply pointed out that he got the chip to 4 ghz. So the "results" that an unsuspecting reader might be confused into expecting would be that same 1.2 ghz. o/c. But that reader wouldn't know anything about o/c-ing, I think you would agree, if they read that and expected they would get the same thing.

Actually, I hear that all the time "well look here..." and "why don't I get what everyone else gets" Check the threads, its like a broken record. Then they think this 4 ghz machine is cool, until they bench against a X2@2500 or better. Stevty has them all, a 920, and 820, an 805. I only have a 805 and 820, and he and I agree, but nobody seems to want to hear it, just brag about 4 ghz.

WHILE I CAN BE HAPPY FOR THE OP FOR HIS 4 GHZ OC, I THINK HE DESERVES TO KNOW ALL THE FACTS.

AND TO THE OP: SORRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE FACTS. I WILL MAKE THIS MY LAST POST IN YOUR THREAD.

Yeah, but nobody who comes here and reads anything is going to come away with the impression that Intel roxx0rs .

Whatever, it was a nice o/c. I wouldn't buy the chip either, but I would love to get my 4400+ to 3 ghz.!

Some people insist on promoting an agenda or at least dont understand English. Some people are of the mind that you may not tout your great overclock with an over the counter chip for less than $200 unless you mention that amd might win in a bench or two. I am not one of those people. Toot your horn baby, toot it loud!!!!!!!

So, in conclusion, your INTEL OVERCLOCK ROXORS!
