don't forget 3% ebates and extra 10% off coupon! I got a movado for $180 shipped, good deal. ashford were bought by diamond.com, I'll be worried about the warranty if u r buying an expensive watch, i.e. omega, TAG, Cartier, etc,. these are gray market watches, no warranty from the manufacturer.

guh, ashford's selection of pens has gone down significantly in the last 3 years. I remember buying a nice Montblanc pen there 3 year ago, and they don't even stock any Montblanc anymore! No Montblanc, no Cross... darn. Anyone know of where else I can get something like that without being ripped off at a mall store?

Whoa! Where did you find a 10% coupon. I thought they said that you couldn't use any other discounts since the discounts were so deep already.

Wow - didn't see this coming...always thought they were pretty decent. I recently got an '02 TAG Searacer at ashford and their watch selection was OK then. Now, it just plain sucks.

Deal gets a little better...shipping for my new Seiko kinetic watch was $7.95 (standard delivery).

I added a pair of wicked champagne glasses for New Year's Eve, a cool-looking silk tie, and two pairs of candle holders.

Shipping was still just $7.95. Very nice.
<edit> forgot to mention...shipping method is apparently FedEx Overnight.</edit>

Plus, no tax and that 10% coupon came in handy...so for well over a hundred bucks less than what diamond.com would have charged for (almost) the same watch, I got the watch, plus a bunch of other cool stuff which I simply consider as a free bonus.

The sale was supposed to end Sunday, but it appears to still be on...the "Legal Terms" page sez "Order must be confirmed by 11:59 PM EST on Dec 26th", and sale prices are still shown on their pages. As always, YMMV. <edit>Pop-up window now sez sale has been extended to the 26th. Maybe my cache needs cleaning...</edit>

A lot of stuff is now OOS. The watch I purchased (Seiko SMA033), for example, is no longer available. There was one watch my wife was considering, but she's too late now.

Another thing: they stated "guaranteed delivery by Christmas" on their website yesterday, but that is gone now (which isn't a surprise). And my confirmation email sez shipping method=FedEx Overnight. However, my Order Summary on their website sez the shipping method is standard (3-8 days). Dammit, I hope their summary is wrong, two of the items I ordered were gifts. So again, those who ordered yesterday and chose the cheap shipping, YMMV.

A couple of nice watches I was considering (that won't break the bank) are still available. The Hugo Boss Ranger Chrono is $199 (MSRP: $795), the Citizen Promaster Chrono is $120 (MSRP: $375), the specific Citizen listed above by Greg03 just went OOS, but they have the same watch with a different face color here for $144 (MSRP: $450). The Seiko selection was totally raided, they hardly have anything left that would be considered a "great deal".

Looks like I maybe got burned. Everything I ordered arrived EXCEPT THE WATCH, which makes up 70% of the cost of my order. The box had enough room, the packing slip sez nothing about a second box, my so-called "tracking" from ashford's account page shows it was on the truck to be delivered (but no tracking numbers). Of course, they're not answering phones until the 26th.

It would seem some warehouse dude procured himself a nice new Xmas present to make up for being layed off. If they tell me there's no other box, and tough luck, who do I report to my Attoney General? Them or Diamond.com?
