Anybody with an Award BIOS P3 motherboard and a P3-500E can have a boot screen look like that...

Just select 104mHz FSB... Or "Turbo" mode in some.

Sorry, but all you have is a plain jane P3-500 Coppermine.

The boot screen doesn't necessarily prove much by itself either, 104x5 on a Coppermine 500E would ready exactly what he has showed.

Take a pic of the CPU and its SL code printed on its PCB. That would be definitive.

And EVERY SINGLE P3-500 CuMine owner can have a "520E" boot screen if they can adjust their FSB to 104mHz. Just ask all the other P3-500 CuMine owners on this board. I have one.

Just because it's P3 520E or whatever, it doesn't mean it's faster than P4s.
If you really want to prove yourself, just post some benchmarks as well as a screen shot of CPU-Z.

What would you say if someone came up with P2 456Mhz and that it's faster than P3 x.xGhz and all he can come up with is the 'boot up screen'.

Or,
You could make your own benchmarking website and benchmark all the cpus with your 'boot-up screen'.

I have a magic calculator that will get ~500 FPS in Doom III, doesn't look like much, but once you find the hidden connectors for keyb, monitor, etc, you're ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum

What it says on the CPU doesn't mean it's always correct. How many times do you hear about CPU re-marking? Tons and tons of times! Just in this week, this company in Taiwan got busted remarking crazy amounts of AMD CPUs.

That's too funny. 5x104=520. "E" Meaning it's a coppermine. "EB" was a coppermine running 133 FSB. I forgot all about thoose old CPU's. I haven't used a CuMine since the Tbirds were released.

It's okay to be stupid, especially when it comes down to computer stuffs. Every now and then, everybody is always not so bright or stupid. But....it's a major problem if you're stupid and proud of it. And it's even worse that you're dragging 11 of your cluess friends along with you.
