VERY slow Frame Rates in SOF 2 with GF4, is this normal?

I just installed a PNY GF4 ti4200 after runninng a Radeon 8500 for a bit. SOF 2 was fine with FR with the Radeon, but with the GF4 its very choppy. I'm averaging 30 FPS! I'm using the latest Det 29.42. Any ideas??

I isntalled SoF2 and set some modest settings with my GF3 Ti500, XP1800 and couldn't stand the choppiness. Got rid of it ASAP.

Mind you I wasn't a huge fan of the 1st one that much.

Did you correctly remove all traces of your Radeon before you swapped it with your GeForce 4?

Yes, I actually reformatted and did a fresh install of Win XP, installed DirectX 8.1 then the 29.42 drivers. LIke I said, the game seemed to run fine on my Radeon, but with the GF4 its really slow. Am I doing something wrong or is this an incompatibility thing with the GF4? I mean, the GF4 benched faster than the Radeon in 3dMark2001se.

I installed SOF2 on my AMD 1800+ GF3 t1 200 machine and it runs really smooth with settings on High!

No idea what my frame rates are. How do you display them in this game?

It runs smooth on my system too, a XP1600@1533Mhz with a Geforce3 ti200 with all settings on high at 1024x768

I use "Fraps". Its a program that will display framerates in ANY game. You can get it Here
