Just to let you know, DDR (double data rate) is the type of RAM you are using. You need 2 identical sticks to run in dual channel.
But, S754 doesn't support dual channel.

If S754 doesn't support dual channel, why is my Mb suppost to use DDR?

Or am I completely fine using the single stick, and it's just a bad stick?

I installed my CPU and heatsink correctly, and it's reading around 37 degrees C. So I dont think it is over heating.

RUN MEMTEST and then we can help you further! Stop avoiding it unless you are just on a different comp!

Enter the bios using the Del key when the pc first starts up.
Set boot sequence to be cd-rom drive then hdd-0 or first hard drive.

I burned the .iso as an image using Nero, but when I boot the CD, it does nothing and just loads windows normally.

I knew someone was going to say that- I should have disclosed that I have done that.

it says "Boot from CD...: and I press enter to boot, but it sits a second and then loads Windows normally.

This time Windows error said it is a bad graphics driver.

DDR and d Dual Channel are two different things. S754 uses DDR RAM, but is not set up to use the RAM in Dual Channel.

DDR imply means that it transfers data on the "rising AND falling" edges, where as regular SD RAM only transfers on the rising edge. This means that DDR RAM can transfer data at twice the speed of SD RAM, hence the name "Double Data Rate".

http://www.pctechguide.com/03memory_Dual-channel_DDR.htm
When properly used, the term "dual channel" refers to a DDR motherboards chipset that's designed with two memory channels instead of one. The two channels handle memory-processing more efficiently by utilising the theoretical bandwidth of the two modules, thus reducing system latencies, the timing delays that inherently occur with one memory module.
The link provides plenty of info on Dual Channel.

Anyways, your MB should work just fine with only one stick, and yes its very possible you just have a bad stick.

Go to Event Viewer in Windows and see what it says.

go into BIOS and there should be a spot where you can set memory "timings". you will see 2,2,2,6 or something like that. Just back them off a bit maybe to 3 or something. There should be some threads on memory timings
