Okay, just got the Thermalright HR-05. Installed it and it works!!!!
I'm going to try and buy a digital camera ASAP and get some pics going because people have got to see this. It takes four hands to do well (at all). And it is a tight fit with my x1900xtx w/Zalman VF-900. (Note: This will only work with the VF-900 or any same slot cooler as the video card. {Pics will help you see this}). It would look better if it were copper since I have the Zalman CNPS 9500 and the Zalman VF-900 but hey, if it keeps the chipset at what I've seen reviews on for $20 then I'm a happy camper.
It has to sit at an angle, and believe me when I say, "IT IS A TIGHT FIT". But it only sits close (very, very close) to another heatsink (the VF-900's and the red heatsink strip near the end of the card) instead of the actual video card board. It also will work in SLI/XFire configuration as well. I've put the card I've got in each slot just to be sure and it works.
So far I've noticed that the low idle is 36 C and the high idle is 40 C. That is pretty nice considering my old low idle on the stock cooler was 39 and my high was 42. I have yet to do anything with the loads, but I'll post them as soon as I can.
And the chipset heatsink's company even states that it isn't compatible with the DFI mb's. I can understand why they would say that, but only if there is a cooler that takes the closest PCI slot. Same slot coolers on video cards would not have ANY issues installing this.
So for those who might be getting a whole lot of crashes in Oblivion, (I was personally and even though there were other things making it crash, it didn't help to have my chipset at 55 C) this might be a good $20 solution.
