VIA 4-in-1 4.32 Beta released

and to those who think nVidia will be better on releasing beta chipset drivers - just look at their video cards.
I can see it now -

"today at www.xxx.com not only do we have the 23.12 beta's for your Geforce 3, but also the 14.27 drivers for your nforce equipped motherboard"

Am I going blind?? I have downloaded the latest drivers from VIA......I have looked in all the 'AGP' folders and all I can see is AGP driver version 4.04 and 3.30. Where is 4.05c???

Did you D/L from the link I gave above/3dextreme?

They are dated 6/19 and if you doubleclick the zip file, you'll see it in the window if you scroll down

I have tried downloading from both viahardware (dated 6/19), offical VIA site etc.
I can only see version 4.05 in the Win2k folder (the file is called Viaagp1.sys. So how can this file be used in Win ME and Win 98? Or am I still blind? Has anyone else checked?

install the 4.05c agp drivers that are stand alone lower on the page if you are paranoid.

i went down 5 fps in Quake 3 going from NO VIA drivers to 4.32

then again, i was expecting that.

Is it me or is 4.32 posted on VIA's Taiwan site but not on VIA's U.S. site?

Has anyone with Win 98 or Me checked the Viagart.vxd file to check if it is 4.04 or 4.05?? From the looks of what is in the driver, Win2K is the only one to get version 4.05.

Download and expand the file and look for the Microsoft Word file and open it.
It has a history of all the different versions and what they fix including the 4.32's.
I'm at 4.32 with Win2k and not much different

I'm running the 4.32 on my fresh install of w2k...no problems yet.

They are official now at the Via site. No probs here with Win 2000.

I installed them on my MSI K7T Pro2, T-Bird 850, WIn2k system. Couldnt get Win2k to shut down ever again after that.
Sticking with the 4.29's for now.
