cant seem to find any drivers for the card anymore!
So windows XP installs the Geforce2mx/mx400 driver..? is that ok? (I suppose I dont really have a choice.
also. >>
Oldfoof I always use Nvidia default drivers and so do most members here, you can download them from
here ,if you are just using XP default drivers you can just install them, however if you installed MSI drivers it`s best to remove them first.
As for your 4 in 1 driver question, you don`t need to,it only updates the Inf and PCI IDE driver I believe when I installed them ,so it`s really up to you,I always do since I like to have the latest drivers.
Remember WinXP has native support for VIA chipsets(so that`s why you don`t have to install them)
as to your other question on what they do,taken from VIA Hardware,
<<
VIA has been offering their 4-in-1 driver for quite some time now. It is designed to solve all compatibility problems with Microsoft OS's and VIA chipsets. As MS has traditionally provided very little support for third party chipsets, the chipset manufacturers must provide their own patches.
Notes:
Do not update 4-1 drivers unless you are experiencing problems.
Microsoft Windows XP has native XP support and 4-1 drivers usually are not needed. >>
