Now we have pictures of the Anandtech gang, Looks like a bunch of kids to me

They are a bunch of kids!
And, at least some of them are really smart kids (that I'm aware of)! I was reading about Anand's highschool dates a few years back.

they should just postpone it a month or two and get it right if that's what it takes
release it a week before barton maybe
and that pci/agp lock is needed if VIA wants the respect of the enthusiast/extreme computer user crowd

Soulkeeper, ...From what scarce info that is out, I have read that the 'A' will have DDR400 support and a new set of divisors for setting FSB/PCI/ETC... Like I said though, I got tired of VIA's game and ordered an nForce2 board. An ABIT NF7-S, revision 1.2 to be exact. Nice board...

well that means a pci/agp lock (i dont think this may come from VIA)
or
a 1/6 PCI divider ...this will RULE

but ... as always , we're gonna be dissapointed , probably max 166 fsb and a max 200 memory(async)

Evan, everything that I have read recently also, ( except that article at Tom's ) indicates single channel as well, citing that dual channel would be too major a modification in the existing KT400 chipset. Who knows though, Via has certainly been secretive about KT400A.

I would like to read more about the on-board audio Via is bragging about. Sounds really nice

looks to me like nForce has VIA against the wall. All VIA can do is send out a few beta boards to reviewers and stall and hope for the best.
