Vicodin

I got some Vicodin for the wisdom teeth I'm getting pulled out. What can I expect to feel while on it? Personal experiences? Thanks.

That is a little strong for wisdom teeth. Why would they give you something addictive. They gave me Tylenol.

I just got Codine for mine...and personally, whatever strength/dose of Vicodin I had when I was out in LA (it was supposedly strong and I trust the source), i couldn't tell much of a difference from that and a normal night of heavy drinking.

M349, they're white. 50mg/500mg variety.

Just a little zonked out. It's nothing major at all. It's basically a very strong kind of tylenol. I think they even refer to is tylenol #5 in hospitals.

As someone who's been on Vicadin, Viox, Valium, Oxycontin, and Morphine via an epidural, believe me, Vicadin is nothing to be afraid of.

I bet they gave you Tylenol with codene. Vicodin put me to sleep easily. I only had to take 1 tablet though since the pain was only bad the day after.

thats not strong at all, if you take the prescribed amount you shouldnt feel anything except maybe sleepiness

My wife has taken large doses of vicodin for weeks at a time (due to extreme pain from blood clots).
She never had any problems with it being addictive.
It worked well for her with no noticeable negative side effects.
She has also been on morphine, but that made her very nauseous.

Dentist gave me Valium for that.

Uhmm.. Negative. They didn't actually give me anything. They told me to take Extra Strength Tylenol and told me not to drink from a straw. This was 13 years ago though. Things may have changed.

i felt no pain, i didn't feel "high" or whatever... guess u gotta take way more then necessary for that.

Same here. I had surgery, and took vicodin once the nerve block wore off, and I really didn't notice it doing anything to me.

Why not drink from a straw?

The suction will pull the clots off and delay healing.

If you drink from a straw it forms a vacuum in your mouth which could suck blood clots out and then you have exposed nerves

I was going to say I satand corrected but I think my reason has some merit too. I would also think it keeps crap from getting in the socket and causing infection.
