This is fascinating. Colbert interviews a US Congressman who has been campaigning for the Ten Commandments to be put in public buildings. He then asks the guy to list the Ten Commandments since they are so important .... and the guy didnt know them at all!

He was just catering to the right wing crowd!

I was trying to point out that many politicians gain office by claiming affiliation to a certain religion, which they ACTUALLY don't know ANYTHING about. If people could see that they are being LIED TO maybe they'd stop electing such abusive dipsh1ts to office.

Forcing candidates to create a video tape and forcing voters to view it is fascism.

About the Colbert interview of the alleged christian candidate. He's a comediene that i've seen expose the lies of some of the top neocons. So i'm not going to downplay the effectiveness of his approach to interviews. He's effective.

And i think the candidate who is pro 10 Commandments should have known all 10. He seemed embarrased by not knowing them. And rightly so.

This interview effectively shows the weakness of that canditate. But should we force these interviews into law? Nonsense. Freedom of the press and freedom of speech when they are a healthy part of our Nation, provide all the exposure to candidates that we need to make an accurate decision at the ballot box.

It turns out he actually got 7 or 8 of them, which isn't bad, and then the Report editors edited it to make the guy look stupider than he was, editing in portions of the interview to make him look like he's squirming, taking out the last half or more of them that he got right...

You seem to have a lot of rage against the idea of the 10 Commandments being in gov't buildings. That's fine, there are perfectly sound reasons for having that opinion.

I don't suppose you could name all 10 of the commandments from memory could you? Afterall, you seem to seethe with vitriol about the idea, and as your sig might suggest, you're outraged at things like this. So... how well do you even know the thing that you're raging against? Be honest - without looking them up did you know all ten?

One might also ask a chemist to recite by memory the period table of elements. Just because some couldn't wouldn't be "the ultimate hypocrisy of the academics" or some such garbage. People can be intimately familiar with an idea, concept, ethos, etc. without having memorized all parts of it.
