"Video BIOS cacheable"?

I've been having some problems with all the video cards I've tried on my motherboard except TNT2 M64. I've tried to narrow down what the problem might be. I've checked the BIOS and I saw an option that says Video BIOS cacheable. This is disabled by default. What does this mean? I have an MSI K7T Pro. Are there any other BIOS settings that may be causing these lock-ups? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What does this mean?

With the really old video cards it could speed up certain things because the system RAM was faster than the VRAM. Now it doesn't do anything and you should turn it off because it just wastes RAM.

It's unlikely changing this setting will do anything but there's no harm in trying I guess.

keep video bios shadowing off. it might actually reduce perfromance. not only that, there is a matter of memory corruption.
