Video card and esata upside down?

Yea, its ur typical noob question.

New build for a friend, got a new GTS with cool graphics on it that is upside down?
I am using the Coolermaster CM 690. The esata is upside down too.
My Centurion 5 is the same way. Was looking at a Stacker, it is the same.

Heres the question: Is this just the way some cases are?

If I wanted the graphics to be right side up, I would look for another case that has the removable panel on the right (as you face the case)?

Or am I missing something?

I'm not really understanding what you are trying to say...

I might be an idiot... but I have no idea. Or you are talking about the picture on the card, and it is facing down. If so.... you need a new case... such as a btx form factor.

SantaAna,

LIke tyler, I'm a little freaked out by your question, too. If you plug the 8800GTS into the motherboard and the motherboard is installed in the case (any ATX case), the graphics on the 8800GTS will seem to be upside down when you look in the side window at the 8800GTS. Is that what you mean? If you get down on the floor and look up at it, it might appear right side up... That's just the way they're made!

As for eSATA, don't understand how that could be upside down, unless you're talking about an eSATA card plugged into a PCI slot, then it would have the same "problem" as the 8800GTS with any graphics on it...

Face it, the only time you'll look into the side window is when you show it off. Just don't tell anyone the graphics are upside down - they aren't.

All ATX cases are built that way. The motherboard tray is seen on the left side of the case when you open it up. You will ALWAYS look down on the graphics that are on cards. Only a BTX case is built "upside down." You don't want a BTX case.

Yes, you need an inverted case if you want your add-on cards parts side up... But most are designed to be in the original (and still way more common) ATX parts side down orientation.
