Video Card doesn't work

I installed a new CPU and reset the CMOS. Now I try to boot, but no go. The diagnostic LED shows there is something wrong with the VGA. I put the old CPU in, still no go, and the same VGA error. I don't have another board to test the card in, so what should I do to ensure that this thing is dead before I RMA it?

Well, I'd definitely try reseating the video card, and making sure you didn't jar the external power connector loose (if it uses one). It's very unlikely you "broke" your video card by changing CPUs.

The DFI only has PCI-E. I have repeatly tried reseating the Video card.

Is your power supply is strong enough to support it all?

What CPU did you switch to? The one in your sig, or one that the bios on your mobo might need updating for?

can you grab any other video card from somewhere else? It would be a long process to rma it if it turns out that say its your motherboard or what not. I would see if i could get my ahnds on another video card. which is hard b/c your running pci-E...

Yea that's what I'm going to do. I'm almost certain however that it's the video card. I changed CPU's, still the same VGA error, changed the ram, still the same VGA error. So I have come to the conclusion that jee, maybe it's the VGA.

Ok I submited an RMA request to Monarch. How fast are they? Has anyone had experiences with their RMA process? Is it easy?

I RMA'd an Abit motherboard there about 2 years ago. It took about 3-4 weeks. However, I was told that they cross ship by a co-worker. But this information could be old, because this is about 2-3 year old information.
