Video card for around $50.00

I'm not looking for the best card on the market, just one that can get me by until later this year. I was considering an ATI 9000 or 9200, but don't know what the differences between them are. I don't know what nVidia cards would fall into this price/performance category either. I was hoping I could get some information from you guys as to what you might recommend. I want something with exceptional 2d at higher resolutions (no fuzzy text @ 1280x1024) and I would like something that I can play a game of Q3 or one of its derivatives on. Remember, my price range is around $50.00.

there's not that much of a difference in the $50 price range. you might try the 5200, as it is the only one with dx9 support. The 5200 should beat out the 9200/9000, but I think you might be able to find a 9000pro around this price range as well.

this is $83 but the advantage of spending a little more is that not only will it hold you over til the end of the year, but you wont have any problem selling it off when you want to upgrade. also, it will fit nicely in a back up rig

I have a GF3.... It was sent to Leadtek for RMA reapir. When I called them 3 weeks after sending it in they still have no ETA for me. I am writing off that card and getting a new card. Too bad too... that card kicked ascii !!
