Recently I built a new system and I believe everything is compatible with the motherboard but the board has been known to be a little iffy with video... I have a Geforce 4 mx440 64meg ddr that I installed into my Biostar - M7vit pro motherboard. If I were to install an older pci card of the sort then flash my bios.... would that most likely work?

thanks for everyones input. BTW whoever helped me with my bootup problem before THANKYOU i totally got it to work cause of you, hah, peace.

I'm figuring you where wise enough to use the install CD instead of the Windows Auotmatic Installer?

I'm not exactly sure what the question is ... but try the poster above's advice. Use the install CD that came with the card and go from there. Try updating the driver and see if that works.

Oooo wow Im stupid for that one. What happens is the computer wont recognize the card when I turn it on, it will still say "check if the monitor cable is connected" or whatever.... and now I just realized today that it does the same things with other cards so it has to be something on my motherboard?? I really havent been able to actually run the system because of this. Also there is no beep from the system audio when the video card is removed and turned on...

thanx again

If you've seated the cards correctly and tried both AGP and PCI videocards and still no display I'd suspect the monitor and the VGA cable.

And you have the monitor cable connected to the video card itself right? Not the port on the mobo.

In your other thread you wrote that you grounded out-more likely shorted out-the MB, did you not use the MB standoffs when you installed it in the case?
