Video card performance with Crysis patch

Is anyone else hoping that they crysis patch helps at least a little with performence in Crysis ? I hope by at least 5 to 10 fps at least. More than that is just a bonus to me but would be very nice. I think all Crysis has a ram leak or something because I heard this a lot of all types of video cards. Lets hope that is the problem and it will be fixed. I think sense we are not getting a new high end card anytime soon every little performence the Crysis patch can give us is thankful!

I'm hoping for 10% at least and perhaps better load balancing for Dual and Quad setups much like the UT3 engine. I haven't experienced anything to suggest theres a memory leak, however I remember there is a Vista hotfix somewhere (I think It's flagged on Nv's website aswell) that aims to correct a possible memory leak in certain apps on the 88 series.

Atleast 10% would be nice. though that still really doesn't help much IMO... With my rig at 1680x1050 with settings on high I run 25-40 FPS most of the time. So 2.5 -4.5 FPS would be nice but of course maybe I could just lower a few settings....

There's only one sure way to boost performance: lower the settings. Looking at the visual quality of the game at high settings, I doubt you can magically boost performance without an IQ degradation. Just look at the shadows - even foliage has shadows. This is a heavy rendering load, and we need a new high end card to cope with it effectively.

I have been able to play Crysis very comfortably at 1280x720 on high (DX9, WinXP) without any lag or stuttering during single player. Any performance boast would be icing on the cake!

Well the patch is out and there is no performance increase at all with it.

I'm not surprised. Nothing shorter of a newer more powerful video card is going to help Crysis fps IMO. Till one comes out about all you can do is lower the settings or play at lesser resoltuions unfortunately.

Pretty lame patch, UT3 might have sucked but the UE3 engine is beautiful- looks as good as Crysis IMO and none of the sluggish performance inherent in Crypig. This 1.1 patch didn't do much for me, maybe a few FPS increase if you sit still and look at the same scene but in general it's nothing to get excited about.

maybe I'm just getting used to lower FPS but I think I got a nice boost w/ DX10. I was able to play through the 2nd map without the nagging feeling that I should switch to DX9
