you are as *bad* as i am

i started with the 480w TT - got an x1950p - and ended up with the 850w OCZ PS

it *pays* to have premium components

i just upgraded my CPU/MB/RAM for about what i will sell my old CPU/RAM for
[C2D here i jump on the bandwagon]

The Single 12v rail is back in bussinness... or combined 12v rails.... I dont know if ur Zeus has a good combined 12v rail amperage but lately Most of the big names in power supplies have started to make Singl 12v rails for high end PSs. That is names like Power PC n Cooling, Some Silverstome, some Seasonics and some Antecs, the Hx COrsairs... I have the link here from Extremeoverclocking http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/t136602.html
All PSU's recommended for highend systems need to be Single +12V Rail PSU's.

This has now become necessary for several reasons:

PSU manufactures are now assigning the rails on their multi-rail (3 or more +12V rails) PSU's in whatever fashion pleases them.

Motherboard manufacturers are now requiring additional power connectors, beyond the standard ATX & P4/EPS connectors.

Sometimes the interaction of these unique rail assignments & additional power connectors results in mobo/PSU incompatibility.

All of these problems are of course caused by the ever higher power demands of ever more powerful GPU's.

Most Dual +12V Rail PSU's are not effected as one rail "should always" be used exclusively to power the CPU via the P4/EPS connector, however Dual Rail PSU's that follow the specs can not power highend SLI systems.

Therefore all PSU's recommended for high end systems now need to be Single +12V Rail PSU's.

Please note that the Seasonic built Corsairs & Antecs (HE & Trio) are, regardless of advertising,
Single +12V Rail PSU's, in that there is no per-rail current limiting, meaning that any +12V rail can pull whatever +12V amperage is available. This is also true of the Seasonic M-12's.
The Corsairs are built to higher standards than the Antecs.
My favorite is the corsair 520 ( modular also)

Mate, I had a hard time forom the SO getting the LCD, X1950pro and now the PSU, chances of getting a new mobo, for SLI with new cards is......well, lets not go there!...LOL. The multi rails will allow me to spread the load and keep tidy cabling to the system, 20% overhead of the combined 42a is good enough for me....and the below rig

WOW, you wouldn't read about it!, new 650w 45a combined 12v rail and the card still drops signal during 3dmark 2006. I gonna try C)D2 HDR 1680x1050 and if that dies, i;m sending the damn card back....

I hope you get it sorted out. I've been very pleased with this card so far. I should probably upgrade my PSU though since I realized I'm running an Antec TP430 (no glitches). Then again, my case isn't exactly overloaded. Only 2 HDDs and 2 optical drives, the video card and the standard power requirements (case fans, mobo, etc...)
