nvidia gf4 ti4600
abit IC7-MAX3
2.8 E ghz intel (prescott)
36 gb wd raptor (10,000 rpm)
viewsonice 19 in crt
my video card used to haul.... i could get it up to 250 fps in SOF2 (first person shooter). now when i enable vertical sync it can barely get 60 FPS and it bogs to about 20-30 fps if there is a lot going on. this all started about 2 weeks ago. could my monitor cause this(just got the monitor less than 2 months ago)? is my card dying?anyone else had this problem? .... could a bad cable modem cause this(i suspect it may be bad for other reasons)?
i have all of my video settings at the lowest level (for faster performance). it should be going like a bat outta hell. no over clocking btw.
i know my card is a little outdated (4X agp) but id like to keep it for a few more months if i could ... im in the process of saving for a new one. if i have to get one soon i will but its not gonna be the one i want. point is id like to fix this one if possible .
thanks in advance
