Hey all,
I am looking to build a PC for my employee to do some video editing work. They will probably be doing around 6 hours of video editing a day in Premiere (mostly simple stuff, like cutting out parts we don't need, etc) and am looking to build a relatively cost effective PC that "gets the job done" without being top of the line, but at the same time not annoyingly slow for a video editor.
Any suggestions would be welcome including the amount of RAM, type of GPU, CPU, etc. I will likely be putting a 500gb SSD for working with new content and 3 spinners in RAID 5 for backup (supplemented by dropbox backup.) I am assuming a 750-850W PSU would be sufficient for this machine even if I were to do upgrades in the future (please correct me if I'm wrong).
I would like to keep the budget to about $1,000 USD or less (not including hard drives) if possible.
Thank you in advance
