Actually chiropractics is not always quack shit; a lot of people have been helped greatly by it. After all, if medical doctors knew everything people wouldn't feel they needed an alternative to begin with.thats like saying I laugh at the people who spend their lives on quack shit like chiropractics
you laugh that she trained most of her life for this and thats what happened?

No, why would I want that? It's stupid and very distasteful to be laughing at her for it.
I just started skiing 3 weeks ago and have had that happen to me. Your outside edge catches and then you just lose your balance.
She probably had done the acceleration hundreds of times with no issues and was just focused on the first gate. Just like when a WR in football who starts thinking about turning upfield just before catching the ball and ends up dropping it.
Did you also lie completely still for 10 seconds after you fell? IMO that's what made her look silly... not simply the fall.

she was most likely embarrassed and did not want to get up
err, people who wipe out may lie still for a moment to collect themselves. Like working up the courage to face the looks of other people.
That happened to me skiing for the first time. As soon as I got off the lift, I fell over.
we had trouble getting ON the lift. Those things are tough.
Worse than the lift is that stupid tow line that you're supposed to grab hold of that should take you uphill. That didn't work out so great for me.
Yeah, when you make an embarrassing fail like that, your brain often just kinds of pauses for a few seconds, and that can result in basically a loss of motor control... you're left just kind of laying on the ground, trying to collect yourself and force your body to do what it should be doing.
Definitely seems just like she had her nerves completely shot before she even fell, hell before she even left the gate. I cannot imagine what her legs felt like to her.
BTW, I admit... I was literally LOLing.
But I do feel bad for her. So much work to only experience that, all on account of anxiety most likely.
I like the Olympic official who casually walks over to her like she has the plague thinking OMG I cant believe you just did that.....
I think I would fake a serious injury and have them take me off on a board after that.
Your pwnd already so mayes well make the most of it!
i felt bad for the swede girl who completely plastered herself all across the home stretch of the track... she would have won bronze if she hadn't lost control.
i laughed at a couple of the spills though... the girl who face planted into the ice and the swiss girl who went sliding along the outside of the track and then caught air while on her back. pretty amusing... but, yeah, i felt bad for all of them who fell and couldn't at least complete the race.
it hurt more when jacobellis didn't make it past the first big turn on her boardercross final run.
vid link to this?
I loled when I saw it happen, but I felt bad.
