Video imput quality of an ATI 7200 AIW

I can pick one of these up for 35 dollars shipped so I figure it is a pretty good deal.

Will the picture quality be as good as an 8500 DV/AIW or a 9xxx series AIW card?

Just to make sure, all I would need would be:

VCR --> RCA out (video and audio?) ---> ATI 7200 AIW ----> video editing program.

Just thought of this, will it capture audio too?

IIRC the sound is captured with your line-in on your soundcard. and AFAIK the picture quality should be on-par, but I really can't fully say....

Ok, i guess i'll have to get one of those rca -> computer jack adapters for the sound. I guess i'll go for it and for 35 bucks i guess you can't really go wrong

The quality should be the same, VHS quality.

Word of caution - If you have tape issues, you can have sync problems video and audio. Wrinkles in the tape are the key source I have seen for this. The workaround is to do those sections in small pieces and combine them during your edit. That is just the nature of the beast when capturing this way. But for $35...
