I am not white and so I am quite aware of power dynamics in the business world (generally being the only black person in most business meetings). Agreed - Some people have a very hard time seeing things from another persons perspective. Here’s a tip. If you hold a business meeting the other person is there to discuss business and possibly make a business deal. Business deals may involve money or trading things of value.

If you invite a person on a date and they say yes the other person is there to figure out if they want a relationship with you. Relationships may include touching, kissing and sleeping with you.

A person on a date maybe warm and flirtatious in the interests of forming a personal relationship.

A person at a business meeting maybe polite, and warm because they want to close a deal.

If you think a woman salesperson being friendly in a business meeting means they are into you you are pathetic.

If you treat your business meetings as dates you are an asshole.

If you use your power and wealth to manipulate someone at a business meeting into sex you are a predator.

I've been friends with some really gorgeous women. One of whom that never went to parties (not just from being introverted). Hell, she was sometimes scared over the friends her brother would bring over. She also once turned around and punched a guy who creepily followed her home. I think I would act sort of like her if I had the knowledge that guys rape and that I had the feeling that there are many guys I wouldn't want to have sex with.

To do what this women did? Even if we say it was her naive way of defending herself, the article states just a few hours later she claims he raped her at a hotel. So they met again? That's crazy. I would have stayed the hell away.

Just to be clear, no matter what it wouldn't be any of her fault.
