So you are saying that 3dmark results can be easily faked?
Photos on the internet can very easily be faked

Practically no 980Ti were sold with stock clocks. For example mine boosts to over 1420MHz at stock so it seems even after OC it won't match my stock card. Disappointing!
It's literally a photoshop, guy. Take it easy.

Not the GTX 1070. Could you please not ruin this thread with unsubstantiated FUD? Thanks.
What GPU score have GTX980Ti at 1500/8000?In firestrike Ultra..
Does anyone know why is the Titan X so expensive?
Titan X =~ 980Ti performance
980Ti = 620$
Titan X = 1000$
9% more shaders, double the VRAM, and 50% more milk.

WHy is the VC&G community so toxic and negative?
If only I'd listed the source in my post... oh wait, I did!
that tax was 300$ for 3 monthsEarly adopters tax. In a way, Titan X was 980 Ti Founders Edition
Don't know and its getting worse.
Why not wait for a verified 1070 3dmark result? Why be so absolute in your claims?
WHy is the VC&G community so toxic and negative?
the natural reaction to any news in here is always negative, and always about tearing down something else. Its always about what it DOESNT have, rather than what it does have. Its always about the "ifs" and "buts" never about whats actually in front of us.
We literally just got benchmarks confirming that a $379 card can beat last generations $1000 card. How can you not be excited or blown away by that?
Who cares if the relative performance to its higher performing brother is wider than the previous gen. Does it make the card any less fast or impressive? NO. If you're in the market for a 1070, you're in the market for a 1070. If you care so much about the difference between 970 and 980, go buy a 970 and brag to everyone how its only x% slower than a 980. Meanwhile the rest of the world will be enjoying a titan x for under $400.
This rhetoric and logic in here is getting really tired.

I was asking a legitimate question and then was attacked by people who didn't even take the time to read my post.
Can 3dmark be easily faked or what card was posted with limited VRAM? Was it a 1070?
Spot on, especially with Kepler already being considered as legacy: http://www.nvidia.com/page/legacy.htmlI hate to play in to what you are saying in this exact post, but everybody pretty much knows that we wont be seeing a $379 1070, just like we wont be seeing a $599 1080. Those prices were for reviews to show they are more competitive on price, even though there is no ETA on any cards that are that price. I am sure we may see those 6 months down the road, but after market cards with good coolers will be at or above FE prices.
However with that said, I think the 1070 will fill its part in the market fine. Its target audience are those with older Kepler cards. This will be a huge boost for anybody with a card of that generation. Very few people with a 980Ti are going to buy this or a 1080. Even at the FE price, the 1070 is a big boost in priceerformance vs the 980Ti.

Pascal is largely a Maxwell die shrink from what we now know. So I doubt you'll see an improvement on future titles. If anything both Maxwell and Pascal will likely fall behind AMD's GCN based GPUs.but that can change with future titles
It's a more than four year old architecture. Why wouldn't it be considered legacy at this point?
