Other than the plane missions, the game has wonderful controls. The flying missions are just so unbalanced it throws off the curve of the game and takes you by surprise.

If you are any good at any First Person Shooter, the game is unbelievably easy. Its just that god damned plane. :disgust:

You just suck at games. All you have to do is control your pitch for the flight school...that's about it.

Nah, the flight school was easy. Its a mission close to the end of the game, where you have to follow another jet, but since your speed is exactly the same as his, you cant catch up. Its impossible.

Damn, I though you were talking about flight school, too. That mission was tough, though. Took me quite a few tries (maybe a dozen or so). Easiest solution would be to edit the handling file and increase the speed of the plane you are given. You actually do fly faster than the jet by default, but only barely, so you need to be very close right when you turn around or you won't catch up by the time you hit land.

You can edit the speeds? LOL. I am already cheating enough with the weapons cheats.

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\handling.cfg

Edit it in any text editor. I think there is enough information contained within the file for you to figure it out yourself. Just change it back when you're done (or make a backup and restore it when you're done).

Hahaha, I broke my wireless xbox controller by throwing it down while playing Fable. Luckily Logitech was cool about it and sent me a new controller. I will never do that again.

Yes, I think I need anger management, but only with videogames.

The only parts that pissed me off was the one where you had to chase the train on the motorcycle (that guy can't aim for sh!t) and the indoor parts with fire which brought my 6600gt to its knees.

For real. That guy couldn't aim for crap. I finally figured you had to stay on the high roads to cap em.

I am surprised the 6600GT didnt stay smooth throughout. It doesn't seeem to be that tough an engine to run. I am using a 6800nu/3.4GHz P4 though. Also, did you disable the framerate limiter? That smooths everything out A LOT.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, using this technique helped me pass the mission. I just sped the plane up just a little bit and it was easy to catch up to the plane! Was one of the better missions too.

THANKS AGAIN.

Just started playing but I like how challenging some of the missions are, you dont really see that much in games anymore where you have to keep trying over and over to get past something.
Im on the mission now where you go with Big Smoke to take out the russians and your on back of the motorcycle with an uzi. Tried a couple times unsuccessfully and it seems like it goes on forever, bike ends up blowing up.
Im playing on the xbox though and still getting use to aiming quickly with the analog stick.

Control on the PC is far greater than the PS2 version, not sure about the xbox. There is a trick to that mission though, just keep taking the high ground.

Yeah, I finished it on PS2, and the plane missions held me up forever. I think I finished the flying school after 10 tries :|

Plane mission was easy. All you had to do was fly out to where the other plane was, be at a higher altitude than that plane, and when he passes under you you turn and dive towards the circle. When you are diving you are going faster than the target plane, and it's easy to catch him.

Editing game files because you suck is the pvssy's way out.

Haven't played my PS2 since then.

They made Zero WAY easier on the PC version. Either that, or it's the control advantage.

took me about 20 tries. the most annoying part was'nt failing the mission. the most annoying part was time it took to restart the mission.
