Vido Card for Internet Surfing

Maybe it doesn't matter which video card. I have a Viper 330 AGP and seem to get "adequate" paging through the internet. I'm not all that displeased, but, could I do better with a different video card? I think this card has 4 Mb of memory.

I don't play any video games, well ok, Freecell.

My system:
Tyan s1598
AMD K6-2 550
Viper 330 AGP
Zoom PCI 56K modem

Thanks

Yup. A vid card does not directly affect your connection speed. What you have gives you decent 2D and screen redraws good enough for a web browser.

Agreed with the others. A new video card won't make the internet go faster for you.

I am screwed too...

Don't have High Speed internet connection available either...

If you don't use the computer for anything else but what you mentioned stick with the card...

like everybody else told you... but maybe you want to get into something with computers, not necessaryly gaming, but anything else that has to do with those mashines, let us know...

ok have fun awesome internet thanx to the American Armee...(I would guess?!?)

this question also involve your size of the monitor. A better like 8meg and above can give you a good resolution and 2D speed in terms of displaying images............what is your computer speed?

It may be entirely your internet connection. The following site has some decent info and specifics on reg setting tweaks relating to same. If you are unfamiliar with the registry, then you should take the warnings in the site very seriously and take precautions like backup, and learning about the particular tweak b4 you engage it.

It might also be your web page cache settings, which can be access through IE in tools>options>general>temp int files>settings, or NS edit>prefs>advanced>cache. Hope some of this helps.
