I snagged two A90 monitors at $224 but I see that the Viewsonic rebate requires the actual UPC. How would I deal with the OD rebate then? Is it on the receipt like Bestbuy?? Last thing is the coupon which is small compared to the OD rebate which I will see if it works.

I just got the very last one in my area. The OD CSR confirmed that the rebates are seperate and valid, for a total of $100 MIR. The Viewsonic rebate requires the original UPC, OD will take a copy. Follow the link posted earlier to get the Viewsonic rebate, the OD rebate prints up at the register.

I still need the $20 off coupon!

I just check in Pasadena and Alhambra and there is no more, but the guys from Alhambra printed out the Rebate and it is the same as the one from ViewSonic, so there is only one rebate.

Hrmm, just as I suspected with the rebates. What if we try to send both in however? I don't want to blow $50 bucks when they get another request for the same rebate and cancel both. Has anyone tried yet? We have a couple months to see if they will honor both.

I got this monitor 2 years ago from Microcenter when they had a rebate deal with E*Trade. (I think it ended being almost free ) It's been a great monitor up until last month when it started randomly going out of focus while being used. Viewsonic has a three year warranty, so I guess it needs to be shipped to them for repair.

Anyone know if Viewsonic has a service center in the Philadelphia area?

The OD CSR told me right over the phone that there were 2 seperate rebates for a total of $100, so I said "Hell yeah, put that last one on hold, I'm comin' to pick it up" and now I'm not sure.... I don't want to wait 2 months to find out I got screwed for $50 bucks (or more :Q ).

I put one on hold to figuring hey for $104 why not. But now I'm thinking maybe I should just wait since it looks like only on $50 rebate. Was going to replace a 17" on one of the computers but I can wait for a better deal or better monitor for same or little more money.

It did not print out the Office Depot Rebate. Did anyone that bought one get both rebates?

Big Problem! In the "Terms and Conditions" section of the rebate form it states:

It did only print the 1 rebate form. The store advetised it for 224.99 then $100 in reabtes. Going back now to find out where the other $50 is. I will update in a few. I HATE REBATES

i just grabbed one at my local OD and both rebates are the same.
i had feeling this was so, but bought anyway because i think $180 out the door is still a good deal for this sucker.

The manager at the Fresno store said to send in the one that printed at the time of sale + print and send in the one from the viewsonic web site to get back the rebates. I have emails into Office Depot and Rebates HQ to get a straight answer. I'm guessing someone messed up and there is only 1 rebate. The store price tag did say $100 in rebates. I'm going to get that extra $50 no matter what.

not that i'm interested, but why wouldn't someone social engineer these tags so everybody will have ammo when od and viewsonic start acting up? just a thought... *shrugs* if it's the last one in the store, why would they mind? plus copy and print is probably three/four steps away
if it's advertised as $100 rebate, NEEDS to be $100 rebate

Called 5 differnt OD stores in my area. 5 differnt stories from the managers. 2 didn't even know they caried these monitors. Getting the same thing from 2 of them. Said the best thing to do is send in both of the rebates and hope for the best. If Reabtes HQ sends one back to come see them and they will help out with compensation. Looks like the best thing to do here is PM when the price goes down in a couple of weeks if they still have any in stock. All the stores that I called had sold out of them and were not going to get more in.

Anyone come up with anything else that might get us the other $50

I got it sitting here! It's DEFINATELY got the SAME address on the rebate as the others have stated...

so........I rekon that I'm NOT going to be getting this thing for $1xx.00 or whatever...b/c I honestly don't think that they will do this for us...

Ok, I scored...

When I got to OD to pick up the one I had on hold, I pointed out the MIR problem and they gave me $50 off at the register!

$174 out the door (Oregon, no sales tax) - $50 MIR = good deal on 19" monitor!


/edit: they kind of trapped themselves into the extra $50 off. At first the CSR was fighting me on it, asking where I saw it advertised, etc... and I kept telling him that 3 different reps on the phone confirmed the price and MIRs with me before I drove there. Anyway, he was saying "no deal" until they brought the box out, and then whadyaknow? there was the advertised price of $124 on a sticker right on the box! A manager cleared that problem right up.
The monitor does have some curvature to it, but not too bad. It's definitely NOT a flat screen. Color and brightness are quite good... nice for gaming.
