Hope this is hot, was for me, I bought it so I thought Id share.

Rebate email from Office Depot, 10% off $50. (Thats what it says but it is 10% off anything OVER $50)

Viewsonic A90F+ 289.99
OD price 279.99
10% off 252.00 + 15.12 = 267.12 delivered to house inc. tax
$50 Rebate 202.00 = 217.12 inc. tax

Someone else may even be able to do better but dont forget tax.

bummer, I've seen other monitors, like KDS XF19 something or other that can do 75Hz.
hopefully the image quality makes up for it? but that still seems like a low refresh rate.

Well from my own personal experience KDS monitors don't last. They may have nice specs, but they are a total waste of money. They used to have a good warranty plan, but they've downgraded that too recently. Before someone wants to correct me, I am on my 5th monitor from KDS (5th from replacements that they kept sending me from the last 4 that died in the last 3 years). This one has its issues too, but I'm hoping it lasts since my warranty ended a few months ago.
I have a 15" sony trinitron that has performed better, and my KDS has the sony FD trinitron tube.
Just my personal experience, Viewsonic's tend to work well, there are cases where they have caused problems, but I believe after Sony, Viewsonic is best.

Good luck with Viewsonic rebates. Good monitors, absolutely horrible rebate practices. Make sure you photocopy EVERYTHING, follow the rebate instructions down to the tinest point (and keep a copy of the instructions) and send your rebate certified mail, return receipt requested. Even then, you have to perserve and be lucky to actually receive your rebate from Viewsonic. I did all the above and still got stiffed on a $100 rebate from them on the A90-after repeated mailings they claimed my check had been issued and cashed, but never furnished a copy. YMMV, but I will never do business with Viewsonic again specifically due to their rebate practices.

Thanks for all the replies.

Posting from monitor now, played a few games on it and so far very happy with it for my particular needs. Bright and sharp. Time will tell. Still have my 17" Trinitron on my main business system so a big improvement all around. Still like my 15" VS flat panel but just a little too small for my old eyes.

Bummer about rebate prob but I got one from VS on my flat panel in a pretty short time. Ill hope for the best here also.

Worse rebate ever was CompuCrap at over 9 months for $25 but I did get it.

Happy with it after 3 days. Text seems sharp and clear to me.
