Viewsonic Outlet Store has some decent deals on new(discontinued) and refurbished monitors. Deals are especially good since they have free 3 day ground shipping for the month of June.

The 19 inch GS790 which PCWorld rates a best buy is only $170 (new/discontinued). Best price I found was $259 plus shipping.
I ordered a PT795, older new/discontinued model but great specs, for $229.

They have a new site layout with many selections available right now, but the inventory can change daily. They do charge tax though. Thought it might be worth checking out.

Really some excellent deals. I wouldn't personally get a refurb monitor (bad experiences + the agony of returning a 50lb+ monitor), but some of the discontinued models seem like bargains to me.

If you look at the upper left-hand corner of the page you will see links to the various categories available.
Click on the CRT link and it will take you to a page where you can then choose size monitor.
The GS790 is the first one listed on the 19" monitor page.

While I agree that the products are good, the pricing is not. I quickly found some of the screens at a lower price at several websites.

The only thing that may be a plus is the free shipping. You have to do your research before ordering!

The 19" E-90 is a new discontinued product. Cheapest I found on pricewatch was 243 shipped. The cheapest i found on pricegrabber was 331 at Ecost and 308+ at PC Mall. Seems like a really good deal for 209 shipped. Can't imagine finding a cheaper price than this. I've had the A90 for nearly 3 years and it's been great and the E90-2 should be a better model than mine.

I jumped on the PT795 monitor. It's new, but discontinued, and it comes with a 3 year warranty. Sure it's an old model, but it was near top of the line back in it's day and I just wanted something decent for a second display.

If you can find a better price somewhere else, by all means go for it, but I think most of the models at the outlet stores are fairly old models, and it's harder to find them at typical on-line stores. Like for the PT795, I only found it at 2 sites on Pricewatch, none on pricegrabber, and one of them was at $399, whereas Viewsonic had it for 229, plus free shipping. When it first came out, I think it was almost $1000.
