What's the insurance cost like on a Viper vs. a Corvette?
The WRX insurance cost is going to be high with all the kids getting them. I suppose the price isn't too high overall though. -$15K price for a 2015 is very tempting.
Mine costs about 20% more than my Forester. $600-ish per six months.
You pay $1000 per year to insure a Forester? WTF?
I live in northern New Jersey, so yes. Two drivers, three cars = ~$1500/6mo.

15k for what? Was that a typo? The '15 wrx is about 25k to start. Still a good car for the money.
But yeah... the insurance on my evo is about the same as my stingray. Kinda sucks... but they get crashed often.
OP: great to hear that you got paid and sorry for your loss. Hopefully that blue and white viper will be yours. My favorite combos on them are blue with white stripes and white with blue stripes.
-$15K for a new Viper.
I was paying that much in 2008 when I lived in Metro Detroit. I lived in a really affluent area too, but it was in Wayne County and Michigan's no-fault insurance is already high.
I currently pay less than that for a 2014 Stingray and the same ForesterXT.
Same B/W coupe you were working on before?
Viper GTS
New Viper looks awesome.
This reminded me of the episode of Top Gear where they tested the Viper. After driving it hard for a few minutes the rocker panel was smoking from the exhaust. They even commented on it. Seems like it may be a design issue.
My uncle had a previous generation RT/10 in silver. It was a blast. He also had a Z06 convertible. Both were really fun. The RT/10 was definitely a more guttural ride than the Z06.
I put high flow cats in mine, it has dropped the heat considerably. Its actually a little disappointing that the car no longer radiates enough heat to be comfortable in sub freezing weather with the windows down, but the tradeoff should be worth it for more comfortable summer driving.heh the exhaust gets a bit hot, especially the stock exhaust which this car currently has.
