It is pretty much the same phone but they change the imei so you can't use an evo 3d on virgin even though virigin is a subsidary of sprint and uses the same network.

I bought one of these rebadged Evo 3D's a few months back when they were on sale for more than this. The phone I got still says Sprint on the front. Works great and at $35/mo with wimax it's hard to beat. I haven't regretted ditching Verizon as I couldn't even get a signal in my building at work. No problem with this phone.

I have this phone and the $35 plan. I paid $250 for it. Great phone.. a bit heavy and slightly thick, but it is fast, has a nice touch screen and a pretty good camera. The 3d photos and video's aren't really necessary, but are fun at the office for a laugh.

The phone has a built in hotspot, but I think Virgin disables it.. You can pay $10 a month to enable it if you want to use it. One of Virgin's best choices right now, and that price makes it nice.

AND, you can make it heavier and thicker with an extended battery (2x the AHrs) as I did! The $24 extended battery, while limiting (okay, "eliminating") any protective cases, is rather necessary IMO.

Yep, a pretty nice phone. VM added the Galaxy Sii and the iPharts which have taken the edge off the Evo's glory in their line-up, hence the price-slide. 'Paid $240 (20% off "sale" on their original $300 list), and thought that tolerable; at $150 it's a great phone if you get the service you need. (Where I live ALL companies have poor service: we've NIMBY'd any tower additions!)
