Also, no games included. And it appears that the
www.essentialreality.com site is down for good. Has anyone been having any trouble getting this thing to work as a mouse. I installed the drivers and can see the manipulation of the fingers onscreen (the little bars that go up and down) but the glove will not control my mouse. Did you guys remove your standard mouse and then used the glove? Did you guys remove the thin plastic covereing over the IR sensor? Any help would be appreciated.
I got it working. Had to tinker with it a bit. The two sites I listed above have some decent info and I even found an updated driver for the thing that adds a little bit of extra functionality for the buttons and stuff. My problem, YOU CAN"T HOLD AND DRAG with the thing. Well you can, but it doesn't work well. Mouse mode (really the only mode it has) is also kinda awkward depending on how you place the sensor. I actually did better with the thing perched up on top of my monitor, but then I get monkey arm. So I put it back on the desk and angled it somewhat. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to remove the plastic.
Anyway, my impression is that it's an interesting gadget, but not that useful and I probably just wasted $20.
