I bought an additional 12GB of ram last month during Newegg's month of sales, and subsequently turned off the Windows page file from all of my drives. I have 20GB total now, but am limited to 16 by my motherboard. It shows that I have a 0 MB page file. I recently went to my motherboard support page for new drivers and BIOS and whatnot, and I saw that ASUS also has a PC diagnostic program. I figured I'll play around with it a bit for fun. Looking at the memory tab in the system information section, it shows that I have 2047 MBs of Total Virtual Memory and the a fluctuating amount of Free Virtual Memory around 1840-1850 MBs. I'm really wondering what this is because I checked several times that the page file was completely off on all drives. Is there some other area where Win7 uses virtual ram that I don't know about? My curiosity has been roused by this, and the fact that all I can seem to find is references to turning off the page file.
