My main monitor is a 32" 4K display. My work just send me two 24" 1080p monitors. I decided to run them vertically on each side of the 4K. Naturally my mouse pointer doesn't track smoothly from the 4K to the 1080p due to different sizes and resolutions. However, with VSR and picking something like 1440 x 2560 in windows it is closer. But, to get it perfect I would need to create a customer resolution. I tried creating one in AMD's software. I can create a custom resolution by changing the Resolution and Timing Display to a resolution of my choice and picking CVT for the timing standared. However, when I pick my custom resolution in windows the monitor gets an out of sync error. But, with VSR on shouldn't the GPU be handing the scaling to 1080p and sending that to 1080p monitor? What makes the higher resolutions windows offers when VSR on vs my custom resolution with VSR on different? I am using Windows 10 not 11.
Yes, I understand the 1080p monitors won't look as good and I may not like it. But, now I am just trying to figure out why it doesn't work.
