Virus question

Am getting a couple daily different emails saying I sent a virus (worm) to people I don't know, and would I check my machine. Looks like their machine intercepted and then sent me the heads up. I ran AVG with the latest updates and AVG does protect my Outlook Express and catches viruses coming in, and I looked for the mydoom dlls as instructed for w98 and no dlls were found. ZoneAlarm is up to date and I also tried Sygate. I also ran Panda from the web. I think I'm clean, but the emails keep coming. Any ideas?

Most current attacks fake the senders name by extracting it from the real victims machine. The receiver of the message detects the virus and then send a notification back to what it 'thinks' is the sender (e.g. you). What's really happening is that someone you know (e.g. someone who has your email address on their system for some reason) is actually infected.

Could they have been the problem? One site says they're trojans and another says they're keyloggers. Yikes. No other files were found, zapped them. I didn't get any emails saying I sent someone a virus this am. How did I pick these up?
