Naustica, where do I go to learn how the stock market works? Right now I have no clue and I really wanna get into trading to make some money. Where do you find out about stocks that will be going up?

LOL. If I knew what stocks would go up, I would be richer than Warren Buffett. Path to riches for most people is investing and not trading. Find solid companies, invest in them, and over time that company will grow and give you solid return on your investment. Trading is not for everyone and usually a fool's game.

When I was first learning about the stock market in 1993, I read a book by Peter Lynch. Mr. Lynch was famed fund manager of the Magellan Fund. I read both of his books, One up on Wall Street, and Beating the Street. While both books are old and some stuff talked about might be outdated, his principle ideas are not. I highly recommend you check these books out at your local library. It's extremely easy read and he explains everything so a total novice can understand. He inspired countless people and taught them to invest. Motley Fools got their inspiration from Peter Lynch as well.

It went for $44 a share yesterday so hopefully it wont go much higher then that at opening.

The IPO was at $44 to the investment banks. Today, is the first day it's available to the public. I can see it going up to $50 at the open.

V has some serious upside if Mastercard is any indication. I picked up some financial companies earlier in the week during the meltdown so I'm a little on the non-liquid side right now, or I'd plop down some money on V.
