I read this today after ordering the same card from Amazon yesterday (Sat) for $280. I went to Amazon today (Sun) to cancel the order, but it won't let me, stating the order is "in the process of being fulfilled" or somesuch. Grrrrr.... I'll try to call Amazon tomorrow and see if I can cancel and get the Newegg deal instead.

If the HD4870 drops sub $200 in September or early October...I'll be hard pressed to say no to it...VERY hard pressed. I still haven't gotten a new card yet, and after September I'll be able to afford it.

Which one is a better card for the $$$?
Would it be the 4870 or the gtx-260?
My new gtx-260 is going back to the Egg simply it has persistently given BSOD.
Should I ask for the refund then get the 4870 or should I wait a little while longer for the 4870x2 price to drop a bit further say sub-300?
