Taken from slickdeals:

Circuit City has the Visiontek Radeon x1950 pro on clearance for around $116 + tax, there is also a $50 rebate, making the total cost of the card $66 + tax. Great card for the price.

Here is the website info so you can check the store inventory. The price is lower instore, so you can order online, do instore pickup and they will adjust the price for you.

This is what the box looks like, its different from the picture on the website:

Is the rebate through Visiontek or Circuit City? Would be a nice upgrade if I could find a skt754 PCIE mobo or a new mobo & cpu combo deal. Thanks for the info, will check into it tomorrow.

Just snagged one of the two left at a CC here in Dayton Ohio (store 3196). In store price was $115.97 so with the $50 mail in rebate like he said this is a pretty sweet deal! Box art was different then the website as well.

That's online. The price in store is $116 and the $50 MIR is printing at the register.

yeah, thats a whole lot better. I find the first (online) box very disturbing :Q

to my surprise it is in fact available in my area. Just dont see much need for it now, I have 1900gt in the secondary rig and waiting for another nvidia refresh for the main one...

While there are none available in the stores nearby me, I'm tempted to order just for the warranty!

Many products come with a limited warranty on parts or labor from the manufacturer. See below for how long your product's parts and labor warranties are valid. Refer to the warranty information included with your product for coverage details.
Parts 99 months
Labor 99 months

None available in my immediate vicinity, but the website shows them in stock at a single store that's about 25-30 miles away. Not sure if I want to spend time and money on gas while gambling on a $50 rebate, though it is tempting. Probably best to wait and see how the video card market shakes out after the new ATI cards are released...might be able to get double the power for $150.

I picked up the last one at the Meyerland store in Houston, TX. It did not show any in stock online.

San Felipe store was sold out when I visited.

Is the UPC right on the ATI box? I can't help wondering as the rebate is for a Visiontek x1950, but box appears to be basic ATI radeon instead of Visiontek ATI radeon. Have to assume different box mean different UPC and rebate that doesn't work unless someone can verify otherwise.

The box says visiontek on the back lower lefthand corner, the rebate is valid, and there is no reason it would not be honored.

I got the last 2 at a store about 18 miles away, my entire cost including gas was about $75.00 a piece after $50.00 rebate.

def the best video card you can get for $75.00

about as fast as a 7900GT, too bad it doesn't have DX10.

Just benchmarked, this outperforms my 7900gt.

Core2 Quad 2.133GHZ all stock x1950pro stock speed 575core 690mem

3dmark05 10,054
3dmark06 5,240

pretty good for a $70.00 video card

the x1950pro has a nice copper heatsink with a large copper plate on the top of the card, it only got a little warm during benchmarking.

probably can overclock a bunch, what do you guys suggest i use to overclock it, haven't overclocked a ATI card in awhile so dont know what software works best right now.

Would anybody be interested in picking one up and shipping it out? Assuming the 66+tax+shipping price. There is none in my area

I went to my nearest CC and they had 2 in stock. Bought one, took it home, installed it and... it was bad. Like a bad memory chip on the board, random garbage on the screen during boot and in Win XP. Pulled it out and took it back about 2 hours later. Got the last one left and it is good, works great. The fan seems to be on at a single speed, and now I need to program to OC and check temps. Any suggestions?

The card rang up at 115.+ plus tax. The sticker on the shelf said $142.xx on clearance. The sales guy who rang me up the 2nd time was surprised and said he might get one for himself at that price. Told him too bad, got the last one and left.

Now to fill out the rebate and wait for my $$...

ATi Tool is probably the best to use. It has a huge list of over clocking options plus other neat things also.

it does automatic overclocking with different profiles, which you could load at startup, assign to 2d and 3d respectively. also it will let you control fan speed according to the 8 temperature zones you can pick for yourself.

I have mine turned way down for 2d stuff to lower the noise.

ATITool doesn't appear to work with x1950Pro cards, and didn't allow memtesting or show temps. Is there a newer version than 27b2 that does it?

I'm having the same thing happening to my card! And I was thinking it might be power supply issues. I'm having a friend test it out for me tonight to confirm. Unfortunately, I got the last card they had - I suppose if I really want to keep it, I may have to see if Visiontek will replace it under warranty.

According to poster on FW (and other site), there may be a problem with the rebate. Guy checked the rebate offer and supposedly it was only good through 10-31 and rebateHQ and Visiontek don't know anything about a new rebate period ( 11-6 - 12-31) and currently will just deny out of hand any rebates.

Bosozuk on FW said they called CC to complain about the invalid rebate and the CC person called rebateshq who then validated the rebate. So it may take some work to get this rebate until they fix the dates in their system.

SpuTTer916 (also on FW) said he purchased online and was able bring his receipt printout and PM to the in-store price. All my local stores are out so I think I'll try that. As always, YMMV

I filled out my rebate and also went on to rebateHQ and had no problem finding it and filling it out on line. Nothing about it being invalid was displayed. I mailed mine out this morning so we'll just have to wait and see. I keep copies of everything sent in case I need it, but the original UPC went with the form I mailed.

rebateHQ had a new version of the rebate form online, valid until 12/31/07. The form I got from CC.com required the SN from the card, the one from rebateHQ did not.

The 2nd card - which replaced my defective 1st card - is working great in my 2 year old Dell XPS600. UT3 runs way better than the GF6800 that was in there before. The new frame rates have more than doubled at 1280x1024 from the GF at 1024x768 with the default game settings. I think my CPU is the bottleneck now but that will have to wait for a whole new machine next year.

For me it is a great deal for $66 after the rebate.

By the way, has anyone found a program to control the fan and monitor GPU temps? ATI Tool v. 0.27b2 can OC but does not control the fan or monitor GPU temps.

Anyone else find the 'new' rebate form? I was just looking on Rebates HQ and couldn't find it under visiontek, or by searching for 'x1950'. Somewhere else? The only one I could find was the old one with 10-31 expiration date.
