I have a business training class from March 24th to the 28th. Will be there all week. First time in California and figured I'd at least get a round or two of disc golf in. Anything I should also see, do, eat, or drink while I'm there?

Irvine is nice. many many cuisine available within 5 mile radius (the time require to get there, however, is another story). There's steakhouses, Japanese restaurants, Vietnamese food in Little Saigon (Westminster) is not too far out. If shopping there's south coast plaza but not sure if that's your thing. head south a little to see the lifestyle of the rich and famous in Newport Beach. Coast along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH 1).

Javier's in Crystal Cove. Get the beef fajitas. They are almost as good as some of the best fajitas in Austin, but the environment and decor is unmatched there.

Nothin special just stalkers for hire out in California mainly. Watch out for rouge garbage trucks.

Yeah the restaurants may be nice, but Irvine as a whole is just a manufactured, soulless town. Everything looks exactly the same, and the shopping centers and housing communities all have the same freaking names (Woodbridge, Woodbury, Woodpark, Park West, Westpark, Westridge, etc.)

the only exception IMO is the area of irvine around the 5/jamboree and wherever the hell 85 degree bakery is which is turning into little asia

There's the Andrea restaurant at Pelican Hill. It's pretty nice. Newport Beach and Balboa park is nice too

Irvine itself is suburby, but nearby Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Huntington Beach are all fun beach towns with lots of restaurants, piers, sand, and proper downtowns. I see people playing disc golf in Huntington Beach central park.

Irvine does have the Spectrum outdoor mall, which I thought was kinda cool coming from crappy Michigan malls. Irvine also has Blizzard headquarters which gives tours...not sure if you'd be able to sign up in time but it's there if interested.

One restaurant that's kinda cool is Yard House, there's one in Irvine at the Spectrum. The food is good but not spectacular, American modern stuff, however there's like 100 beers on tap, so it's cool to go sit at the bar and see all the taps.

I've been there specifically on culinary business multiple times. Obviously, that makes me an expert on the Irvine, CA food scene. So: what would you like to know?

What that means is that I catered there a couple times with a Jewish San Diego catering company. Strangely, the food was exactly the same as the Kosher we served in San Diego. That is my "expert" opinion.

Irvine is kind of boring. Make the trip out to Newport, Laguna, Santa Ana, Westminster etc. Pretty much only thing you have in Irvine is the Spectrum and Diamond Jamboree.

Every where you'd want to go is a bit of a drive to download Uber to your phone and use that for cheap taxi service. You can get from Irvine to Santa Ana for about $10.

lol are you trying to get the OP killed? You really ought to avoid Santa Ana, unless you like to be around the homies.

Second the visit to Laguna, you can't really go wrong with eating anything that has decent reviews on yelp.
