People bitch enough about there being 4 different versions, I can't imagine what adding another one would do to the geek forums of the internet (this one included). I remember a year or so ago when word starting leaking out about the different versions Microsoft was planning for Vista. At the beginning, it stood at something like 7 or 8 different versions . I think it's a good thing they whittled it down to 4.Originally posted by: Oyeve
Yeah, but I dont need the last two things in ultimate.Originally posted by: stash

Yeah. I got totally freaked by MS's original product line proposal. Even now, though, we're really going from two versions (Pro and Home) to five (including Vista Enterprise). And those five have significant differences in features. (Yes, I know that XP MCE and XP TabletPC exist, but Home and Pro make up most of what's out there right now.)Originally posted by: blurredvision

I'm concerned about the 'Business networking' item.
I do have multiple PCs, and I do use the current XP networking features in XP Pro. Is it going to be harder for me to map drives from other PCs, for example? Exactly what networking features am I missing if I go to 'Home Premium'??
Yes.Originally posted by: Shamrock
Does V-Home still limit you on the amount of networked PCs you can connect to? XP home limits you to 10.
