I accidentally quick--formatted the wrong partition, and it was the one holding all of my personal stuff so I'd really like to recover it. There has to be someway to do it, it only "formatted" for like 3 seconds...

Recover Lost Data and Mulitstage Recovery have been useless so far.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

there are several utilities that can do this or you can boot up with linux and see the data.

Do you have any experience with any types of utilities? The two I originally mentioned were useless, as well as a few others I've tried since posting.

Linux will see the files even though it was quick-partitioned?

Try r-studio...
it did wonders for me. Fully formatted partitions-it was able to recover data from them. Of course, that's unless that data was already overwritten by something else.
Let me know if that helps!

Try ultimate boot cd.
Be careful though not to have the drive installed with windows running.
windows writes information to partitions about there status, etc even if you are not saving a file there. It could overwrite data you want to get back.

O&O Format Recovery and Handy Recovery both worked wonders.

Everything else, not so much... Just a heads up for anyone who has the same problem

Your data should still be there provided you do nothing to the drive after the Q/F. Q/F simply removes the drive's indices and MBR.
