Vista-ready AGP 4x card for older PC

I'm looking at what upgrades my mom's older computer would need to run Vista and the only thing necessary to get the visual interface is an updated graphics card.

I'm looking at either the 256MB 6200 (64-bit) or the 256MB FX5500 (128-bit). I'm set on nVidia (ATI has burned me in the past) and I'm very happy with eVGA so I'm sticking with them.

What should I get? The 6200 or the FX5500 chip?

The 6200.

Geforce FX and DirectX 9 (required for Vista's Aero Glass GUI) just doesn't sound right. ;-)

6200, but you should look at the 6600GT.

6200, also keep in mind it's never going to use the 256mb of RAM really. At least it doesn't help improve it's performance at all.

Guys, what card would you recommend in general (NOT limited to NVidia) for a P4 2.4GHz system with ddr ram and AGP? I'm looking for an AGP card that will run Vista Aero perfectly on my system. AGP 8x OR 4x.

6600GT should do it. Should be fine with games too although you didnt mention them, its good to know that the cards a good all rounder.
