We've had a vitamix for over 3 years. Truthfully, about the only thing I use it for is making smoothies...but dammit, they're GOOD smoothies.
Velvety as fuck!

Maybe it just didn't have enough salt.A lot of baby food has less texture than applesauce; it's smoother and feels sort of flat on the palate.

What does this super expensive blender do that is special? I'm using a $35 blender from Costco and it seems to do everything I've tried.
My parents had the same ghetto blender for about 30 and it still works fine :hmm:Liquifies fibrous veggies and fruit into great smoothies and ice cream. It's the best tool in the world for people who want to get serious about eating healthy. $35 blenders' motors will blow out quickly trying to do what people love to use their vitamix's (and blendtecs) for.

I can only hit a couple hundred RPM, but I can make more than water boil.:awe:
You can make water boil with a whisk?

I guess you missed the part in my OP where I mentioned that it can fucking boil soup without an external heat source.
