Velvety as fuck!

Oh yeah, forgot we had a blueberry-banana smoothie form one that was indeed very good. Super smooth and nice. I don't really drink that many smoothies though. :hmm:

chunked pineapple, fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, banana, cup of Tillamook Mountain Hucklberry yogurt, and a splash of whatever juice I have on hand...oh...and a bit of honey because my wife wants it "less tart."

Wife bought one ... and it does rock. And as mentioned, if you don't want completely smooth soups ... keep some of the chunky stuff off the side, and add at the very end, pulse a couple times and you have perfect soup.

Kids love the soups, the smoothies etc. Hell, I even make pancake mix from scratch in there so that everything is blended super smooth

I have a Blendtec, and bought my mother a Vitamix. They are worth the money. Those big frozen strawberries you can buy at Costco get destroyed in seconds. If you want to save some money you can get refurbished commercial versions that you see in places like Starbucks, Jamba Juice, etc, for around $200. Costco also has decent prices on new units.

Toss some spinach in most any smoothie. Can't taste it but really gives it a nice texture.

What does this super expensive blender do that is special? I'm using a $35 blender from Costco and it seems to do everything I've tried.

Liquifies fibrous veggies and fruit into great smoothies and ice cream. It's the best tool in the world for people who want to get serious about eating healthy. $35 blenders' motors will blow out quickly trying to do what people love to use their vitamix's (and blendtecs) for.

My parents had the same ghetto blender for about 30 and it still works fine :hmm:

I guess you missed the part in my OP where I mentioned that it can fucking boil soup without an external heat source.
