Vivaldi 2.0 is a major step forward for the browser and our most stable version yet.

how does vivaldi compare with modern firefox and chrome with memory and cpu usage if I'm wanting to use it to stream media to an old low spec laptop?

Use to be lower then Chrome and FF, not sure about Vivaldi version 2 or latest FF( I don't use FF) so can't really say, best bet is to try it yourself, nothing to lose being free.
