Monoprice has a ton of cheap wall mounts and cables:

Vizio announced their new line at CES this year (all with Netflix buttons on the remotes), so my guess is they're lowering the price on these models to get them moved out for the new inventory. I haven't seen an LED LCD this large at this low of a price before. Edit: Spoke too soon - Walmart has a 120hz Vizio LED for $1298. Yay pricedrops!

Kind of wish I had my tax return already hahaha

Yeah, Dell is having some really slamming deals on TV's right now. I'm thinking about getting my parents one of those Mitsubishi DLP's - $699 for 60" is pretty ridiculous, even if you do have to replace the bulb every few years.

Whoa, they're dropping all over the place - $1499 shipped for a 55" Sony Bravia LED over at Slickdeals:

This is always the best week of the year to buy a TV -- right after the new models have been announced at CES and right before the Superbowl. If you've already done your research and have settled on one or two models, you are sure to find a deal to suit you.

Interestingly, a story (on CNN?) yesterday said April was the best time to buy a TV, because that is when the new models actually come out and the vendors (and dealers) are flushing out the older models...

Not bad price. I've been in the market in getting a new TV that is 50 inches +
I don't give two shits about the gimmick that is 3D so this is up there on my want list.

Anyone on the forums have any reviews before I look at the links provided by the OP ?

I don't know, my impession has been that by April most of the better models are gone. The selection (and bundles) is better now.

In any case, I'm very pleased with the Panasonic 3D Plasma that I got at Costco last week and I really don't think that there will be a better deal on it in April.

I bought mine around April last year. It's a 46" Sony Z5100 TV. Cost $900 at the Sony Outlet. Nice TV, but I actually like my Sammy plasma better which is smaller and half the price. They had a deal for a free Blu ray, but they ran out, so they gave me an extended warrenty (5 year) for some really low price ($80???). However, it all depends on whether they are in stock at that point. Sure, you could wait till April, but there may not be any left at that point. It's a gamble that can pay off well if everything goes in your favor.

By brother-in-law just purchased one of the through Sam's Clubs auction site. Paid about the same after shipping and tax. Overall, it is a pretty nice TV. As you may be aware, this is a backlight (zones) LED rather than edge which helps improve contrast and black levels.

It is not ultra thin but not a big thing in my opinion. What matters is the picture quality and this one seems better than average.

Nice features include WiFi, built-in and usable internet apps which support streaming NetFlix etc. Also, a nifty remote that has a slide out qwerty keypad (blue tooth).

The speaker bar accross the bottom could be considered a negative but really not that noticeable once you have it up and believe it provides an improvement in sound...but just my opinion.

The tv has a very nice picture. The sound bar is intrusive especially if you use your own speakers. There is also a small area in the front bezel that is constantly lit.

Does it even do 3D? That seems steep for a non 3D, if not.

No, this is not a 3D model.

This is not steep for a non-3D LED LCD TV. A typical 55" LED TV with 3D unit goes for $2000 up to $3200+. However, there are a couple on sale right now for $1500 to $1800 (Toshiba and Sony, I think). Lots of good deals going on around the Superbowl.
