Their site must be getting hammered, I couldn't even get the whole page to load before getting a DB error. So far, not so good... Looks like it's nowhere close to 980Ti/TitanX. Either their review platform is bugged or...?

I'm not being selective, I'm just guessing at URLs...

Full summary:

vmodtech said:
I hope it is not satisfactory for fans and enthusiasts, AMD's graphics cards from AMD RADEON ™ R9 FURY X then stood as the single-chip flagship proudly. Many were packed with the latest technology into the card is the card that is attractive and usable as possible. The card design Integrated heat sink design for the modern era. The heat has been improved a little as was seen on the first page of the article. Including a series of water that seems to be leading OEM of robust cooling is very good. And the other is to be mentioned that AMD has packed HBM RAM RAM holds open a new era for the next generation. It reduces the latency of communication between the GPU and RAM into many possibilities.
.
Performance is considered reasonably good but on the basis of Driver has been recommended is 15.15 beta, which is the same version relied Reviewer Guide Points to note is that RAM contained on the card might not. enough to use on the games that are popular on the 4K resolution is derived from the performance of the GPU FUJI in 3DMark Benchmark tests have no doubt that in terms of strength. But when the game is obviously the size of the RAM on the HBM ratio of GDDR5 RAM used widely. The camp is run by the games we tested, it is obvious that it will pull out until nearly 4 gigabytes yet. This is undeniable that if you have more than this amount of RAM, 8 gigabytes washing I expect we will have a performance even more frightening, certainly. Driver, or even in the minds of the tests that may still not fully come to Optimize it. The test kit is tested on a series of standardized tests VMODTECH a reasonable time Score overtones that may not be as expected as well. This will be updated when it changes course.
.
I assume AMD RADEON ™ R9 FURY X is considered a milestone on AMD's new graphics card technology advancements over competitors before development before that horrible certainly not in the near future.

Was finally able to grab a Witcher 3 chart:

I managed to get through almost all the charts. The GPU is AWESOME at 1080p but looks to be lackluster at 4k.

There are some weird things going on in the review. Like posting some minimum FPS and ignore that in other games? When they overclock the fps is even worse?

Crysis 3 looks a bit anomalous. Maybe a driver issue?

I'm surprised it didn't run out of VRAM in Crysis 3.

Why? 4GB didn't limit the 295x2. Heck it they even had improvement adding another.

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014...x2_crossfire_video_card_review/5#.VYoVk_lViZ4

"AMD Radeon R9 295X2 CrossFire allows the best experience we've ever had in Crysis 3 at 4K. It truly does blow the doors off of everything else. We were able to play at "Very High" settings at 4K, which would have been acceptable, but no it has to go further and let us play all the way up to 4X MSAA as well! We actually had a choice, SMAA 2X MGPU mode, or 4X MSAA. 4X MSAA was actually more demanding, and it did it just fine with performance to spare!"

Yeah, that review is all over the place. They have the Fury X any where from barely beating a 960 OC, to +12% over a TitanX depending on the game. They also include a 290x sometimes, but not all the time, don't always have a TitanX, and show very little fps increases for a 8.5% oc. Maybe it's correct and there are some major driver issues to work out, but it's hard to figure out where Fury lands from this review.

Edit: They also have the 980Ti beating the TitanX by 10% in FarCry 4 at 1080p. I have a feeling that in a rush to get the review out first, they mixed up some of their results.

Not sure what to think of this review. It just doesn't seem to make sense. Either there need to be a lot of drive improvements, or something else is up.

Welp, time for bed. I can't wait to wake up to a plethora of reviews from multiple sites. I need more data points before I'mcconvinced of anything.

Reviewer uses the same cpu as mine, 5960x. His is clocked at 4.4ghz 35 x 125. Mine is also clocked at 4,4Ghz but 44x100.

This gives me a better idea how my 2 R9 290s in CF stack up to a single Fury.

Might be the 64ROPs limiting performance at 4k combined with 4GB of enough HBM....

I don't think the ROPs would limit anything if its based on Tonga tech. The 285's 32 ROPs outperform the 290X's 64 - and the 290X makes gains on the 980 at 4K compared to lower res.

Heck, even the 290X makes gains on the 980 Ti as it goes from 1080 to 4K.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/R9_390X_Gaming/18.html

980 Ti is 55% faster than the 290X 4GB at 1080, and 41% faster than the 290X 4GB at 4K.

The Fury X is superior to the 290X 4GB in every metric (except VRAM capacity, where it is equal).

How can you possibly explain it getting worse at 4K?

I guess that means all those 4 GB complaints were overblown?

Mostly yes. If 2 295x2s can run 4k 4x16x VH then there is not a bottleneck there.

Most of the commentary about VRAM has been from viewing the reserved VRAM size which does not necessary represent the actual necessary VRAM for a smooth experience or even necessarily what is being used by the game.

Maybe this is why AMD has been so secretive about Fiji. I just hope we are not in for a disappointment. Given that they priced it at Ti price, and the rumor close to $800 it might indicate that it just cannot match Maxwell.

I have a hard time trusting these numbers, they don't seem to line up with the other numbers that have been released. So much anticipation here it's hard not to jump on the first review that comes out. I would love for there to be a good card to run a freesync configuration but at that price it really needs to be on par or better than the 980 ti.
