OzzieGT-

I agree with RideFree that it looks like you just got the summary invoice for the month, which obviously included your signup cost.

RonStang-

Your best deal is the $199/12 month deal with the 2 free phones. The phones are nice and worth about $60. If you factor in the cost of the phones (if you were planning to purchase new phones soon anyway) your cost goes down to an adjusted $139 for the year, meaning your monthly adjusted cost is $11.58 per month. Best deal going for a reliable service with 2 incoming numbers, each with own voicemail box, a free ATA adapter thrown in, unlimited minutes to US, CAN and PR, very low international rates and an extra $3 call allowance for international calls to boot.

Is there a current working link available to this deal? Any special info needed to obtain it?

Thanks.

Out of curiosity, how much do you get referalls? Reason im asking is I have a couple of friends that may want to get this service also, and I could get them as referalls .

ALSO, I use somene as a referral can I still use a promo code on the $19.99 deal?

monkeyboy311-

Sure, you can use and get referrals.

If you sign up you can immediately sign up others right after establishing your account. You get $50 for each referral, even if you sign them up with the $19.95 promo code. You just have your friends call Sunrocket directly and tell them that they were referred to it by you. SR then puts the two $50 referrals onto your account, which you can cash in 31 days after (they have to remain SR customers for at least 30 days.) 2 referrals would give you a $100 American Express check (true cash) or other such rewards. The only thing is that they claim that the $50 referrals are only good through Dec. 31. It used to be $25 for each referral, so it may go back to that starting tomorrow. If you can swing it with all three signups, today would be your best bet to maximize your referrals, although there is a chance they still have the $50 referrals tomorrow.

Ronstang-

There is no special instruction for that deal. It is the main deal they sell on their website. However, it would be nice if you gave someone here referral credit, so if you go to www.sunrocket.com you can click on the "Referred by a friend" link and enter their phone number as the referral code. That way that person would get referral credit. I am completely maxed out at this point, but someone here would probably appreciate getting that referral credit. Perhaps they could PM you with that info.

Here is the link:

http://www.sunrocket.com/

Again, clicking on "Referred by a friend" gives someone credit for this to their account. If you rather not do that you can just click on this link:

I would prefer to have 5.8 ghz phones with this system, if any phones will work..

If I were to use the Unidens they send, can you get additional handsets? I would need three more....

Happy New Year everyone.

sdzc-

Yes, any phones will work. If you prefer 5.8 GHz phones you can get those and use them with SR. They probably would work better than the included 2.4 GHz phones, because they would not have the potential to interfere with other 2.4 Ghz devices, such as wireless routers, microwaves, etc. If you get the $199/12 months/2 phones deal you can always sell the included phone system on ebay for between $50 and $55 to recoup some of your investment again.

If you decide to stay with the 2.4 GHz phones, they are expandable to a total of 4, so you could only get another 2 additional handsets for that system.

Re: Referrals: I just checked on SR's website, and they have for the $50 referrals instead of "ends on Dec. 31" now the remark: "Just a few days more." BTW, if you have not signed up yet yourself you could give one of the posters here credit for the referral instead of letting it go to waste.

Deal just got sweeter....if you renew your one year they're giving you 13 months for the price of 12. Got this email today:

Dear xxx,

On behalf of everyone at SunRocket, I want to thank you for being one of SunRocket?s earliest and most loyal customers. It is hard to believe, but a year has now gone by since we introduced the industry?s first yearly subscription plan. We sincerely hope your experience with SunRocket has been a great one. We are continuing to enhance and improve our service. We are thrilled that you are making the journey with us.

In January, your SunRocket Annual Edition will expire. At that time, your annual plan will automatically convert to a monthly plan at the rate of $19.95 per month. This is a $5 savings over our regular monthly rate for All-Inclusive Service. However, we do hope you?ll choose to renew your SunRocket Annual Edition for another year.

If you renew the Annual Edition by January 31, 2006, you will receive an extra month at no charge. This means you?ll get 13 months for $199. That works out to less than $15 per month for unlimited calling to the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, Enhanced Voicemail, built-in features, international calling, and more! Remember, you can cancel anytime, for any reason, and receive a refund for unused months. If you decide to renew the Annual Edition, your credit card will be charged on the date of your annual anniversary.

You may also choose to switch to SunRocket?s new Limited Edition plan for $9.95 per month. This plan comes with 200 minutes of calling every month plus built-in features. To learn more about this new plan visit SunRocket.com.

Renew your Annual Edition or switch to the Limited Edition now by replying to Renewal@SunRocket.com or by calling

1-800-786-0132, 7am to Midnight (Eastern Time), 7 days a week.

Keeping you as a SunRocket customer is very important to us. If there is anything we can do to keep you on as a valued SunRocket member, please don?t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Just switched my signature number to a new zip code so my parents can call me with a local number.

Also, now, after a year, if I get the 13month offer, I think I will take it. There have been ups and downs, but overall, it seems worthwhile.

I'm still waiting to be able to do that. I've waited since March (10 months) for them to be available in the 757 area code, and now that they are they say I cannot set my second (signature) number to that area code. I've sent 3 emails asking when I can do so, but no response thus far.

Nice, this looks really good. I'm not up for renewal for a while yet, but I almost can't wait to be to see what deals they're offering.

My mind is racing...

LOL! I'm sure there are limitations even on SunRocket.

I love their emails, by the way. Even if they are form emails, you can tell someone took the time to write them out and think about them--most form emails I get are something like "Your online statement is now ready. Click here to view it." or something similarly bland and cold.

well first - i meant area code of course. emails did NOTHING, and even the online customer support did nothing - but a phone call made it all work finally - as *I* walked the CS rep through what I really wanted.

Happy New Year everybody.

I gotta ask how you go about doing this george. Are you just using the website and searching for extensions based on area code or always contacting CS?

laketrout-

There is a site that I use:

www.fonefinder.net

I get someone's area code and type that in the search. Then I look for GLOBAL CROSSINGS, Level 3 or Focal (in some areas Choice One) for CLECs. Then you just simply try the different exchanges that come up on the sunrocket website. Some Level 3 exchanges don't come up yet, but they probably will be opened up soon, so it is good to check back.

Yes, there's also 898 and 596 exchanges available in the 757 area code. But if you live outside the 757 area code you CANNOT have your second (signature) number in the 757 area code.

I sent them 3 emails asking if I could do this... finally, all 3 of my emails were answered today - each one telling me to "call them". Fact is, I've been calling every day for 4 days... each time they start to check if they can switch my second number and then come back and say that I can only switch to a 703 area code if I want a Virginia area code. Their "engineers are working on it".

I feel like I keep calling the "No Guy" on the Capital One commercials!

Help!

New member. Received my phones and Gizmo today. Two chat sessions and three phone calls have not helped with the download speed problem. I used "myspeed" to check download speed. I get only 2Mbps with the Gizmo and 10Mbps without. Quality with is 20-30%. Without 97-99%. They say a tech will call in 24-48 hrs.

Welcome to SR?

put the gizmo behind your router and all is well.

jlensbo-

I checked and there is simply no way you can set up that area code as a signature line right now. It is just the way it is. No need to get upset about it, just have to wait a little longer, that's all.

Best way to self-check: Go to Sunrocket.com and start a sign-up process. Select a primary number, then for the second # choose an ANYWHERE NUMBER. Select the state and see what's available. 757 is not in there. When they add it to the ANYWHERE NUMBER list it will show up right there.
