hey guys,

i have broadband but i'm getting choppy and huge static and the other end can't even hear me. anybody else getting this? what can i do?

i have the same problem with skype.

Make sure your not Downloading something or have an active java applet running. If your on a school network or something I don't know what to tell you.

Also, it might be on the other end end.

Also...maybe you audio drivers are corrupted or you mic and headset/ speakers suck.

macro, now i can hear the other party but they still can't hear me - all they hear is a static shrill sound. i think it might be my connection or my mic? but when i record my own voice, it sounds fine.

Is anyone else not able to download the install program? I have been trying all day, but when I click to download it sits there for a few minutes and times out.

I really wanna try it out... it must be getting hammered or something. It is hosted or mirrored anywhere else?

Panda Platinum 7 AntiVirus ...put the executable in quarantine then cleaned it OK. DUnno what that was all about.


Yeah, check your mic and its connection or try another mic. Or maybe you have the mic muted...

Make sure you have it set to broadband connection in setup, if that doesn't help i'd check out the mic cause it works great for me, no chop or lag!

thanks pibb. the mic is working. i don't know what is wrong. the other end, all they hear is a constant white noise. i changed the setting to broadband too. is my connection too slow?

I thought that was going to be an easy answer until I tried to add letters into the contact list and it wouldn't let me save it. I'd guess its unfortunately not in this beta version.

/edit: it might be by calling the ip address.
