Me too....I'm in a similar boat.
My 566/850 (w/GORB) locks in UT after a few minutes at 1.7V.
Email to Abit:
] Could you please allow a higher voltage range for the Celeron2?
] e.g. up to 2.0V
] 1.7V max just isn't enough...
] Or a separate utility to "unlock" the voltage range.
Reply:
] We are sorry to say that we can't do so. "Default Vcore + 0.2V"
] is our policy to protect CPU.
] For celeron2 533A, default Vcore 1.5, maximum Vcore 1.7
] For coppermine 733, default Vcore 1.65, maximum Vcore 1.85
BTW, I read that faster Cel2s had a higher def voltage - is this true?
Since other Abit boards just got a new BIOS over the weekend, I
imagine the BM6 is next in line.
I haven't put a lot of time into the voltage trick, so that's my next
step.
